Free Will

Free will is our ability to be aware of different potential courses of action and to then choose the one that we determine will serve our interests most effectively.

Determinism

Free will is 100% deterministic. This is a compatibilist position. We are always generating multiple thoughts at once, but only one of those thoughts can be actualised, so our minds evolved the capacity to evaluate and filters these thoughts to select the "best thought".

The selected thought is a decision that becomes an action in the physical world.

Subjective determinism

We are subjectively determined, by ourselves. Every decision we make has a sufficient reason whether we're aware of it or not. We may also make bad decisions, but those decisions are still aligned with our Will to Power.

Nature

We are our nature. If we had no nature, we'd be random behaviour, acting for no reason at all. While our nature limits the range of actions we can perform, it changes over time and thus allows us to change our behaviour. By looking back, we'll always be able to discern a clear trajectory with key turning points, which are the important events of our lives.

Objective determinism

The world of spacetime is the world of objective determinism through which we are constantly interacting. We initiate causal changes, according to our subjective criteria, which then interact with the objective criteria of the outside world. While certain events such as natural disasters overpower our ability to self-determine a course of action, we are for the most part of our lives subjectively deciding on the next best course of action.
