Dante wondered where to put the angels that supported neither God nor Lucifer when Lucifer tried to overthrow God. These neutral angels were no longer fit for heaven, but nor were they fit for hell. Lucifer certainly didn't want them. Only one place in the universe would accept them - the no-man's land of hell's vestibule, through which the damned must pass to get to hell proper. The vestibule was simply a neutral, dead piece of land between the gate of hell and the river of hell, across which lay hell itself. The neutral angels were trapped for eternity in this neutral ground, rejected by heaven and hell alike. This wasn't the hottest place in hell. In fact, it wasn't really in hell at all. It was the most pathetic and forlorn place in the universe. It was neither one thing nor the other. It was home to no one.

The world is ruled by the rich elite, the 1%, the Ownership Class. How do these people manage to make the 99% do their bidding? That is the greatest magic trick of all.

The German philosopher Hegel gave the best explanation. When the 99% submit to the 1%, it's a reflection of what Hegel called the "master-slave dialectic". Hegel imagined the occasion of the first encounter of two self-conscious beings. Given the savagery of Nature, he imagined they would engage in a struggle to the death. However, it would not play out all the way to the end … one would submit to the other. The one who surrendered would become the slave of the other, who would be the master.

We are locked in the Insanity Wars. The world is not plagued by undead zombies, but by very much alive lunatics. They don't lurch around aimlessly. They busily make fake news, they laugh at experts, they ignore anyone with qualifications, they produce alternative facts and parallel realities. Madness is their trade, and they're very good at it. Derangement is now the most profitable business in the world. If you're not demented, you're not trying hard enough. You need to get out more.

America is having a nervous breakdown. Its national character has fragmented. Americans no longer stand united, and they never will again. They are at each other's throats. What happened? What went wrong?
